Cthulu Stir Fry

We decided to make this because I wanted something odd, and was in the mood for octopus. It actually came out a lot tastier then it looks, which is good, because we wanted it to look like an elder monstrosity.

1 medium red cabbage

2 red onions

12 ounces octopus tentacles

12 ounces pea pods

6 thai eggplant (we found them and thought they looked really neat, you can substitute 1 medium eggplant instead)

1 medium sized bok choy

2 packages wheat noodles (they were slightly purplish, if you can find green ones they might work better though)

Seasonings (we used thai style stir fry sauce, sesame oil, a TINY bit of fish oil, garlic, and a bit of mushroom sauce)

  1. Cut up the tentacles if you have to, and sautee them. This should take about 5 to 10 minutes

  2. Cut up all the vegetables except for the pea pods. I prefer to have everything diced, but you can have bigger chunks.
  3. Stir fry in the oil, and add your choice of seasonings. This should take 10 minutes, or a little longer depending on how well you want them cooked.
  4. While you are doing step 3, boil some water, and cook the noodles. The noodles we used were ready in about 5 minutes of boiling.
  5. When the vegetables are done, add a little bit more oil, add in the noodles, and stir fry it a little longer. A couple minutes should do it.

This was a very flavorful and unique stir fry, and we both really enjoyed it.
